A former North Texas charter school teacher has been arrested twice and now faces seven charges involving alleged child sexual abuse, as investigators say additional victims have come forward.
Eric Moore, 30, of Frisco, was first arrested on Jan. 29, 2026, after a student made an outcry alleging sexual abuse, according to CBS Texas and Fox 4 Dallas-Fort Worth. At the time, he was charged with indecency with a child and continuous sexual abuse of a child.
Moore taught at North Texas Collegiate Academy’s East Campus in Little Elm.
Following his first arrest, Moore was placed on leave by the school and later resigned, local reporting states.
He was released on bond on Feb. 12.
By Feb. 20, Denton County investigators had filed three additional charges of indecency with a child by sexual contact. A grand jury also returned an indictment on the original charges, according to CBS Texas.
Moore turned himself in a second time on Feb. 20 after the new charges were filed.
Police have stated publicly that there is more than one alleged victim in the case.
Authorities have not released details about the ages of the students involved or the specific nature of the allegations beyond the charges filed. They have emphasized that the investigation remains active and ongoing.
In cases involving alleged abuse of minors, investigators often encourage additional potential victims or witnesses to come forward. Denton County officials have indicated they believe more information could still surface.
Under Texas law, continuous sexual abuse of a child is a first-degree felony and carries the possibility of significant prison time if a conviction is secured.
North Texas Collegiate Academy serves families in the Little Elm area, and the allegations have shaken parents and staff.
School officials confirmed Moore was no longer employed there following his initial arrest. The campus has not publicly disclosed further details, citing the ongoing investigation.
When allegations arise in a school setting, particularly involving multiple potential victims, the impact extends beyond the courtroom. Parents are left grappling with questions about safety and trust inside classrooms meant to protect children.
Authorities have not indicated whether any other staff members are under investigation.
Moore has been indicted on the original charges and now faces a total of seven counts tied to alleged child sexual abuse.
He is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
The Denton County District Attorney’s Office will now move forward with prosecuting the case as investigators continue reviewing evidence and interviewing potential witnesses.
Police have urged anyone with relevant information to contact law enforcement.
For families in Little Elm and beyond, the case represents a painful breach of trust — one that is still unfolding as additional charges and potential victims come to light.
